Discussion was held on whether or not the GOV15 would be based on 5 Revolver and 5 Semi-auto scores, or remain the top 10 scores regardless of gun used.
Decision was the GOV15 would remain the top 10 scores, regardless of gun PLUS Class Awards for both Revolver and Semi-auto with a minimum of 10 matches fired.
Passed by all.

STATS AND RECORDS....... 2011 stats will be emailed to the BOD and posted on CPPA website within 10 days. Members/Sponsor/BOD need to approval or disapproval by November 19. Final stats will establish Gov-15 standings for annual awards.
CLASSIFICATIONS/PROTESTS.......A spirited discussion on the new classification system being recommended by the NRA. The NRA changed the manner of formulating classifications immediately prior to the 2010 NPSC and reverted to the prior classifications only after several protests were made. The NRA Law Enforcement Committee met in October and proposed separating the Duty Guns and classifying them separately. As of our Annual Meeting the NRA has not finalized the new classification system.
A motion was made to write a stern letter to the NRA Executive Board regarding the new classification system. Match Sponsors should submit a similar letter to the CPPA President by 12/1/11.
DISTINGUISHED MATCH........The 2011 final standings were emailed to BOD and posted at today’s meeting. One (1) shooter legged out in Semi-Auto Pistol. We have enough distinguished badges for the 2012 season.
PUBLICATIONS…. Front Sight posted on the website. Match flyers and match results are also posted on the website. Send any pictures from matches to John Koon for posted on website.
OLD BUSINESS … Nothing
NEW BUSINESS …
It was proposed that several Match Sponsors hold a Duty Gun only event for classification purposes. Three or four sponsors could hold a joint match with each sponsor holding one match for each of the guns deemed to be Duty Guns under the new classification system. Decision was deferred until the NRA finalizes the new classification system.
A New Shooter Award proposal was made. The top three new shooters for a season who compete in a minimum of 10 matches would be awarded a cash prize of $100, $75 or $50 depending on how they placed (1st, 2nd or 3rd). Proposal was accepted and passed by all in attendance.
In order to maintain our Non-profit status the Association needs to lessen the amount of money we have in the bank. It was decided that an appropriate amount in the bank was $10,000 and we currently have $17,200. Discussion covered reimbursing match sponsors for targets or holding the banquet dinner at no charge for two years. After discussion it was decided to provide $500 to each match sponsor to off-set target costs for 2012 AND the Awards Banquet will be supplemented to an appropriate amount to maintain $10,000 in the bank. Accepted and passed by all in attendance.
Subsequent to the meeting several CPPA Board Members had with NRA officials it has been decided that our flyers and applications need to be for TOURNEMENTS. If we refer to each 1500 as a tournament rather than a match we should be able to hold our dual 1500s concurrently. According to the NRA, there is no rule preventing us from holding TWO TOURNEMENTS on a given day. In the past, we called a 1500 a match and that was contrary to the NRA view as they consider a 1500 a tournament made up of matches.
