OLD BUSINESS   From meeting on 8/24/12 in San Diego, CA.

The NRA is allowing civilians to shoot in PPC matches.  Problem is restriction on PD ranges.  Ranges would have to be ok'd for civilian shooters.

CPPA rules do not allow civilians.  CPPA needs to amend it's rules.  CPPA would follow NRA rules.  (past issue)

Motion:  To have a sub-committee (Rules-Membership) to check into possibility of getting range insurance and other factors for allowing civilians to shoot in CPPA matches before next meeting.  Accepted...

Issue of awards from El Centro BP match.  Question of not enough and low value of awards.  Awards need to be 33% of match fees.  There were no written complaints on awards, so this will not be an issue.  This should service as a reminder to all match sponsors on the subject of awards.

It was proposed that there should be a limit on the number of CPPA Distinguished matches.  Suggestion to have two (2) distinguished matches at the northern matches and two (2) distinguished matches at the southern matches.  And also at the state and regional matches.  This would allow shooters enough opportunity to gain CPPA distinguished points.

Motion to allow the above is accepted.

Members need to be aware that there is a NRA Postal Team award for the Service Revolver match held at the CPPA State Champion matches.

Discussion on the number of Service gun matches per sponsor.  One (1) match per sponsor.  Nothing to change.
